Description
The image shows a thick, woody section of a Brazilian Wood Plant stem, scientifically known as Dracaena fragrans, placed in a clear glass bowl filled with water. The stem is light brown and shows the characteristic rings or nodes. Several clusters of bright green leaves are sprouting from the top and sides of the stem. These are new shoots growing from the dormant buds on the stem. The glass bowl is simple and allows the stem and the water it’s sitting in to be clearly visible. The water appears slightly cloudy, possibly containing nutrients or rooting hormones. The background is a plain white surface, which highlights the plant cutting. This setup is a common method for propagating Brazilian Wood Plants by stem cuttings, allowing roots to develop in water before planting in soil. It’s also often kept in water as a decorative element, believed to bring good luck.
